instruction, games and fun that are planned and run by the
boys. Occasionally we meet at the swimming pool,
grade school for games, or other destination for some
type of activity in place of the regular Troop Meeting.
- Activities Include: At least one overnight
outing per month and a week long summer camp each year. Past outings include cross-country skiing,
camping and bicycling at Fort Stevens State Park, camping
at Beverly Beach Park, Eagle Projects, Service Projects,
Bon-Fire, day hikes, Silver Falls State Park, and Cascade
Council Camporee.
- The Troop conducts periodic pop-can drives
and participates in the Council Popcorn and Candy sales
for the purchase of new equipment and supplies and
provides ways for the Scouts to earn their way on outings
and for Summer Camp.
- Troop 118 is run by the boys in the Troop.
They plan and execute their own program. A group of the
oldest and most experienced boys called The Patrol
Leaders Council (PLC) meets on the first Thursday of each
month to plan upcoming meetings and events.
